THUNDERBOLT 1500
RME’s THUNDERBOLT 1500 Hydraulic Hammer replaces heavy manual sledge hammers, hydraulic rock breakers, jack hammers and heavy battering rams by delivering a high momentum 1500 Joule blow once every second.
This hammer is suitable for larger mills and with heavier liners and larger liner bolts, where sledge hammers are of no use and battering rams a very unsafe alternative.
THUNDERBOLT 1500 Hammers are Hydraulic, deliver ten (10) times the hitting power of a typical man and strike sixty (60) times per minute, continuously. The THUNDERBOLT 1500 will remove bolts and liners that are impossible to move by sledge hammering or pneumatic breakers and which otherwise require the use of unsafe battering ram techniques.
THUNDERBOLT 1500 Hammers each require a THUNDERBOLT Powerpack to supply the hammer’s electrical requirements and hydraulic requirements for hammer and powered suspension options. The hammer can be specified to accept any standard 3 phase supply (380, 415, 480, 525, 575, 600 Volts at 50 or 60 Hz).
Each THUNDERBOLT 1500 Recoilless Hammer weighs 449kg (988lbs). Requisites for operating the THUNDERBOLT 1500 Hammer include:

- Nitrogen gas accumulator charging kit
- Service kits
