Tuyere Punch
In many copper smelters, such as the one at Mount Isa Mines (MIM), the copper smelter blast furnace incorporates tuyeres (a nozzle through which air is blown into the furnace) to increase the efficiency of 
the blast furnace. Although the nozzles are often water cooled, one maintenance function that needs to be undertaken on the blast furnace includes 'punching' out cooled copper which may block the tuyeres.
The tuyere punch that RME designed and manufactured provides a safe and effective machine for undertaking this task.
